Abstract:	Il n’y a pas la moindre preuve scientifique que l’homéopathie soit efficace et pourtant elle est fort utilisée pour toutes sortes de maux. Les expériences positives des utilisateurs pourraient avoir à faire avec l’effet placebo, c'est-à-dire l’obtention d’un résultat en raison de l’attente de ce résultat par le patient et par le thérapeute. Mais dans cette approche de la maladie, on court le risque de ne pas instaurer un traitement médical classique indispensable ou de le démarrer trop tard parce qu’ un diagnostic aura été raté ou posé trop tard. C’est la raison pour laquelle il vaut mieux réserver la pratique de l’homéopathie aux médecins qui forment d’ailleurs déjà actuellement la majeure partie des homéopathes. C’est la conclusion à laquelle arrive le Centre fédéral d’expertise des soins de santé (KCE) dans son troisième rapport sur la situation des médecines non conventionnelles en Belgique. Les rapports précédents concernaient pour l’un l’ostéopathie et la chiropraxie et pour l’autre, l’acupuncture.
