Health Services Research (HSR) Methods Glossary [electronic document] . - Washington DC : Academy Health, 2005.
The AcademyHealth HSR Methods Glossary was developed by identifying methodological terms across the major disciplines that comprise HSR. In general, emphasis has been placed on explicating the role or application of the terms in health services research, rather than providing a general definition or focusing in depth on theory.
For each definition, several sources were referenced and compared to generate a clear, concise definition of the term. Major methodological texts, such as those included in the forthcoming HSR Core Library Module on HSR Methods (prepared by AcademyHealth for the National Library of Medicine) were referenced where possible. Each term included in the Web site was also reviewed by at least one member of AcademyHealth's Methods Council.

Databases, Research projects ; Health Services ResearchKeywords: HSRProj Abstract: HSRProj, a database providing access to ongoing grants and contracts in health services research. HSRProj contains descriptions of research in progress funded by federal and private grants and contracts for use by policy makers, managers, clinicians and other decision makers. It provides access to information about health services research in progress before results are available in a published form.
Records cover both grants and contracts awarded by major public and private funding agencies and foundations. Users can retrieve names of performing and sponsoring agencies, names and addresses of the principal investigator, beginning and ending years of the project, information about study design and methodology including demographic characteristics of the study group, number of subjects in the study population, population base of the study sample, and source of the project data. Records are indexed with NLM's Medical Subject Headings (MeSH®) and, when available, NIH's CRISP (Computer Retrieval of Information on Scientific Projects) keywords. Also, project descriptions are included whenever possible.Link for e-copy: http://wwwcf.nlm.nih.gov/hsr_project/home_proj.cfm Format of e-copy: Online (Free) Record link: https://kce.docressources.info/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=2884 Health Services/Technology Assessment Text (HSTAT) / Bethesda [USA] : U.S. National Library of Medicine's (NLM) (2008)
