Mais celles-ci manquent parfois d’éléments objectifs pour accepter ou refuser les prix proposés par les prestataires de soins ou les hôpitaux. Le Centre Fédéral d’Expertise des Soins de Santé (KCE) vient de finaliser un manuel qui facilitera une fixation des prix des interventions hospitalières basée sur les coûts réels. Le manuel décrit la méthodologie à suivre pour les calculs et donne notamment le coût d’une unité de temps de travail de l’infirmière ou du médecin spécialiste mais aussi celui de l’utilisation du bloc opératoire ou d’une admission aux urgences. L’utilisation de ce manuel permettra d’apporter des réponses plus rapides aux décideurs et de garantir une homogénéité entre les études relatives à ces questions.
