Mais comment distinguer celles dont l’utilité justifie un remboursement ? À la demande de l’INAMI, le Centre fédéral d’Expertise des Soins de Santé (KCE) a analysé la manière dont l’évaluation de ces technologies se déroule dans d’autres pays européens et a interrogé les acteurs belges du secteur, afin de poser les balises d’une procédure d’évaluation claire et transparente pour notre pays.
Les critères d’évaluation sont très variables d’un pays à l’autre : amélioration des paramètres cliniques ou de l’organisation des soins, mais aussi convivialité, acceptation par le patient, etc. Les niveaux d’exigence varient également entre les pays mais un effort d’harmonisation est actuellement en cours au niveau de l’Union européenne.
