H 97 Public policy (General). Policy sciencesAbstract: "How can individuals best be encouraged to take more responsibility for their well-being and their environment or to behave more ethically in their business transactions? Across the world, governments are showing a growing interest in using behavioural economic research to inform the design of nudges which, some suggest, might encourage citizens to adopt beneficial patterns of behaviour. In this fascinating collection, leading academic economists, psychologists and philosophers reflect on how behavioural economic findings can be used to help inform the design of policy initiatives in the areas of health, education, the environment, personal finances and worker remuneration. Each chapter is accompanied by a shorter 'response' that provides critical commentary and an alternative perspective. This accessible book will interest academic researchers, graduate students and policy-makers across a range of disciplinary perspectives"-- Record link: https://kce.docressources.info/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=3276 Hold

H 96 Public policy (General). Policy sciences -- Periodicals. Societies. Serials.Abstract: Through C2-RIPE, researchers, policymakers, practitioners, and the public can access Campbell Reviews and review-related documents at each stage of their development. Online access to these documents is free of charge. We encourage and invite people to develop systematic reviews that can eventually be entered into C2 RIPE.
Readers of C2 reviews, including authors of studies under review, may contribute facts and analyses pertinent to the review by corresponding with the review authors and relevant coordinating group chairperson(s) to provide the additional information. (C2 asks writers to submit a declaration of possible conflict of interest, just as C2 asks authors of reviews to submit this declaration.)
The C2-RIPE database contains approved Campbell titles, protocols. completed reviews, and abstracts or one-page plain English summaries. Registered titles with an approved protocol, review and abstract, will have a view documents hypertext link. If a registered title does not have a view documents link, then approval of the protocol is pending.
Ultimately, C2-RIPE permits anyone to critique a protocol or review, make suggestions about for improvement, and identify parallel review efforts so as to avoid duplication. This information will be subject to editorial review and will be posted on the C2 web site if it adds factual information to update or correct errors in a review. The additional information will be posted under the authors names.Link for e-copy: https://campbellcollaboration.org/library.html Format of e-copy: Online Record link: https://kce.docressources.info/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=1074

Methods ; Qualitative reasoning ; Research ; Social sciencesAbstract: Collecting and Interpreting Qualitative Materials, Third Edition is the third volume of the paperback versions of The SAGE Handbook of Qualitative Research, Third Edition. This portion of the handbook considers the tasks of collecting, analyzing, and interpreting empirical materials, and comprises the Handbook's Parts IV (Methods of Collecting and Analyzing Empirical Materials) and V (The Art and Practices of Interpretation, Evaluation, and Presentation).
Collecting and Interpreting Qualitative Materials, Third Edition introduces the researcher to basic methods of gathering, analyzing and interpreting qualitative empirical materials. Part I moves from interviewing to observing, to the use of artifacts, documents and records from the past; to visual, and autoethnographic methods. It then takes up analysis methods, including computer-assisted methodologies, as well as strategies for analyzing talk and text.
Key Feature of the Third Edition
Contains a new Reader's Guide prepared by the editors that helps students and researchers navigate through the chapters, locating the different methodologies, methods, techniques, issues, and theories relevant to their work.
Presents an abbreviated Glossary of terms that offer students and researchers a ready resource to help decode the language of qualitative research.
Offers recommended Readings that provide readers with additional sources on specific topic areas linked to their research.
