Record link: https://kce.docressources.info/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=806 Hold

It is composed of a series of checklists, questions and resources. Its purpose is to enable assessment of a report‟s relevance, reliability and transferability. By doing so, the user can determine whether a report, or parts of a report, written for another setting, can be adapted for their own report in the context of their own setting (to be known from here on as the „target setting‟).
The current version incorporates all of the relevant suggestions from the second round of applicability testing. It is intended that the toolkit will also be developed into a user-friendly web-based toolkit.Contents note: Section 1: Introduction 4 -- Section 1.1 - Contents of the toolkit 4 -- Section 1.2 - Format of toolkit4 -- Section 2: What sorts of HTA reports can be adapted using the toolkit? 5 -- Section 3: The role of the toolkit 6 -- Section 4: Speedy sifting 8 -- Section 5: Main part of the toolkit 11 -- Section 5.1 - Technology‟s use domain 13 -- Section 5.2 - Safety domain 14 -- 5.2.1 Resources for the safety domain 15 -- Section 5.3 - Effectiveness (including efficacy) domain 17 -- 5.3.1 Resources for the effectiveness domain 19 -- Section 5.4 - Economic evaluation domain 19 -- 5.4.1 Resources for the economic evaluation domain 23 -- Section 5.5 - Organisational elements domain 25 -- 5.5.1 Organisational elements matrix 26 -- 5.5.2 How to use the matrix 26 -- 5.5.3 Resources for the organisational elements domain 29 -- Section 6: General resources 30 -- Section 7: End of the toolkit32 -- Appendix 1: Background 33 -- Appendix 2: Development of the toolkit 36 -- Appendix 3: Brief Glossary of HTA Adaptation Terms 39 Link for e-copy: http://www.hta.ac.uk/links/FinalAdaptationToolkitNETSCC.pdf Format of e-copy: PDF [Open Access](1,05 Mb) Record link: https://kce.docressources.info/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=2982 Evidence Based Cardiology / Salim Yusuf / London : BMJ books (1998)
