Ce sont les Communautés qui déterminent la liste de ces maladies; elle en comporte 13 en Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles et 11 en Communauté flamande. Neuf affections sont communes aux deux listes.

WD 205 Inborn errors of metabolismAbstract: In ons land worden baby’s enkele dagen na hun geboorte systematisch gescreend op een aantal zeldzame erfelijke aandoeningen. Het zijn de Gemeenschappen die de lijst opstellen met de op te sporen aandoeningen. In de Franse Gemeenschap staan er 13 aandoeningen op deze lijst, in de Vlaamse Gemeenschap 11. Van die aandoeningen worden er 9 door beide Gemeenschappen opgespoord.
Het Federaal Kenniscentrum voor de Gezondheidszorg (KCE) voerde een pilootstudie uit om het nut en de haalbaarheid van de methode van multiple-criteria decision analysis (MCDA) bij deze besluitvorming na te gaan.Contents note: VOORWOORD 1 -- SYNTHESE 2 -- 1.
