WA 325 Child abuseAbstract: Er zijn goede redenen om te geloven dat kindermishandeling in ons land onvoldoende wordt gedetecteerd. Om deze situatie te verbeteren moet de samenwerking tussen de verschillende sectoren en beleids- en bevoegdheidsniveaus worden vergemakkelijkt. Aan het Federaal Kenniscentrum voor de Gezondheidszorg (KCE) werd gevraagd na te gaan hoe zorgverleners beter zouden kunnen meewerken aan deze detectie. Voor zijn studie werkte het KCE samen met UAntwerpen en de ULB. Het KCE formuleert 18 aanbevelingen. In een aantal wordt het accent op preventie gelegd (al van voor de geboorte) en krijgen de allerkleinsten speciale aandacht. Het KCE pleit ook voor een betere vorming van iedereen die betrokken is bij de detectie van risico’s en het opvangen van alarmsignalen, voor stappenplannen met duidelijke en concrete actiepunten en voor een aanpassing van het beroepsgeheim.
Omdat er verschillende beleidsniveaus bevoegd zijn voor de betrokken sectoren, beveelt het KCE aan om de coördinatie van de aanpak van kindermishandeling op de agenda van de Interministeriële Conferentie volksgezondheid te plaatsen.Contents note: VOORWOORD 1 -- KERN BOODSCHAPPEN 2 -- SYNTHESE 4 -- 1.
